WHO? Players who will be Peewee age level in the 2011/2012 season and have played “A” hockey in at least one of the past two seasons. Beyond that, qualifying players must display a solid work ethic and coachable, positive attitude.
WHAT? A comprehensive player development program including On-Ice Training, Dryland Training, and Off-Ice Learning/Mentoring. Improve skating technique, speed, puck control, read & react, quick shot, strength, checking skills, balance, agility, & hockey IQ.
On-Ice 5-to-1 Player-to-Coach Ratio with a proven model where instructors lead players through a balance of underspeed skills focused on mastery and overspeed skills focused on proper failure-to-success ratio. Overspeed small games and situational competitions are also a part of the process.
Dryland Strength & Speed is the focus. Sprinting / Jumping Plyometrics and age appropriate weight training mixed in with puck control and shooting. Dryland training can be done one hour before or after each scheduled ice session.
Testing / Feedback - On-Ice and Off-Ice speed tests will be performed in the spring and fall and players will be videotaped during on-ice testing in an effort to improve posture and stride.
WHEN? April 12 thru September 22 44 Available Ice Sessions and 44 Available Dryland Sessions. Unlimited Player Access to all sessions! Tuesday/Thursday evenings in Spring/Fall, and Tuesday/Thursday afternoons in Summer Players are registered and welcome to attend every session. No online picking sessions this year! WHY? Make a huge stride in your development this off-season and have fun doing it! Become an Impact Player for your team! Train with other talented and committed hockey players. Impact Hockey Instructors connect with the players and make the training dynamic, intense, and fun! Impact has trained over 50 Division I hockey players in the past six years and challenges each player to take their game to a new level.
HOW MUCH? $895 ($200 down /$300 March 1 / $395 June 1) This program is limited to the first 25 players that register. The price has been discounted to accommodate for missed sessions due to schedule conflicts. However, players do have access to every session and can attend all if able. Please note that players will not need to "pick sessions" online anymore. Each player is registered for all sessions.
