FEEDBACK
•Player Profile This form asks the player to think about and write down some short and long term goals, along with a brief evaluation of their own strengths and weaknesses. Spring and Fall testing results will also be included. The Impact Coach will use this form to help the player understand where he/she is today relative to where they want to be in the future.
•Testing – Spring & Fall System developed by Jack Blatherwick Ph.D. that measures on-ice top speed, starts, and cornering ability. Off-ice tests utilized that relate directly are vertical jump and short sprint. Photo-cell equipment is used to ensure accuracy. Each player’s scores will be compared against the elite players in the game at every age group. Spring test results provide a platform to set progress goals. Fall test results are measured against the goals.
•Player Evaluation / Spring Meeting The Impact Coach will watch the player in a game or training session and deliver a written evaluation of the players strengths, weaknesses, and a recommendation for improvement. The Impact Coach will meet with the player in the spring, 1-on-1, to discuss the player’s future goals, the coach’s evaluation, and what action the player will need to take to reach the goals.
•Fall Review / Progress Report Impact Coach will meet with the player, 1-on-1, to discuss the Fall testing results, progress made toward player’s goals, and areas of focus for the upcoming season.
